CWG 2010 Delhi

These days the national capital of India ie Delhi is very much in lime light because of the major event which is about to happen here, The Common Wealth Games. We can be the witness of a lot of infrastructural progress which is going on these days in the capital. The government is trying its best to make Delhi, an world class city, like China had done with Beijing during Olympic games.
But, what actually is going on in the city? I ask from all of you. Just giving a better infrastructure is enough? Just concentrating on the completion of work on time or before time is enough? Unless and until, if you wont make people understand their duty towards the society, towards the nation, all these concrete progress is waste. Common man is still not bothering about the games or the need of organizing such a major event in our country. Everyday they abuse the government of doing all these construction and becoming the cause of everyday terrific traffic. But, what about the duties of these common people. They should cooperate with the authorities to make the dream of the country possible. They should understand the need of such an major event in a developing country like India during this recession time. When will people understand their own duties first before abusing the authority?
Are the citizens of Delhi doing anything for the betterment of their own home city? The answer would be, I am not concerned with all this or what I can do? or Nothing will going to make any difference with the change in just my habits or First tell the other person than I will think upon this. Huh! Do we require such kind of attitudes from the citizens of upcoming world class city who is having the better facilities of transport, roads, civic needs, etc ?
Its the time to wake up, and show the world that we are Indians, who are always unite. Understand your duties, not to spit on roads, don't make each place as urinal place, don't use plastic bags, use more and more of public transport, save petrol/diesel, talk politely with every one, use subways or foot over bridges for crossing roads, obey red lights, obey traffic rules, never bribe for any benefit, save electricity. Measures are very easy but on the same time difficult too because we are going with the actual habits from ages. In short do your best, give your best to make your city clean, green and prosperous one.
